Show us your personal collection evolution in pictures : start to finish

    Hi all,
During last 60 days my collection went through a radical transformation process first increase in size and then consolidation.
I thought it would be fun to show the evolution of our collections over a period of time.
Mine will cover a little over 1 month.
You're welcome to show us pictures covering 6, 12, 24 or as many months and years you want.
    I’ll start with mine.

Beginning of December 2017 I had:
    Omega PO XL 2500
    Aquaracer WAN2110
    Citizen Calibre 2100

The major change started on 3rd Dec when I got Seiko Astron Dual Time:

Then on the 30 Dec Oris Aquis Date arrived:

Size: 2.16 MB

As a result my collection looked like this:

Size: 2.58 MB

Then on the 10 Jan 2018 I received Omega AT Quartz

Size: 1.32 MB

    The result:

Size: 2.56 MB

    Then the Aquaracer was gone
One week later Tudor North Flag joined in and AT Quartz was gone

Size: 243.1 KB

    The result:

Size: 241.5 KB

On the 26 Jan the Seiko Astron was gone
And the Grand Seiko Snowflake arrived:
    Name: IMG_0440.JPG
Views: 53
Size: 2.01 MB

    The result:
    Name: IMG_0432.jpg
Views: 56
Size: 2.30 MB

Then on the 2nd Feb the Aquis was gone.
    The final result:
    Name: IMG_0435.jpg
Views: 52
Size: 2.25 MB

This was quite a journey for only 2 months, but I think I'm good now for the next 2-3 years.

P.S. Please don't tell my wife....or I will sleep with the cat tonight.

An exercise in tedium for me--over 20 years and over 200 watches--think I'll pass.

Maybe you would like to share only the beginning and the end?
Or only a snapshot of 1 year or whatever you feel like sharing
It will still show a nice evolution....
I enjoyed sharing all those pictures, but shorter lists will be appreciated all the same.

Wow, Stanul, that's quite some activity in two months. What were the reasons you let those watches go?

I've thought about doing this lately but couldn't find any old pics of my watch box. Since I started about 3 years ago I think I've bought/been gifted about 15 watches and sold about 6. I do wish I had a pic for each "stage". I've probably already forgotten some of the watches I had.
I'm a huge nerd and track each purchase and sale I make, so I guess i do have a record of all of them.

    Yeah, I was shocked too!

Some things you can't check out unless you get the item in your hands and use it for real for a period of time.
    I wasn't feeling them....
I usually check the forums, get excited about some watch, buy it and then realise it's not all that...
Especially if it doesn't fit into my life the way I imagined.
    Let's take the Astron....
I imagined it will be one of my main watches, it will get plenty of wrist time....
But, no, it was too big for me and I was reluctant to wear it at work being afraid to damage it while knowing I will sell it.
The reasons behind letting Oris go was it's movement which was running +15+17 spd.
Beautiful watch but my OCD was telling me to run away...

My 20s... Hmmm, lots of people wearing watches. I want a watch. Go to Amazon, sort by popular. Ooh this looks nice. Buys Invicta Speedway (Rolex Daytona Knockoff, did not know this at the time)

Another few years pass. Noticing more and more watches on peoples wrists. Decide to google internet. Wow, there are watch communities and forum. Christopher Ward catches my eye. Find their forum - very passionate following and enthusiasts who discuss watches, share pics etc. Do some more research... learn about sapphire vs mineral, chronograph vs chronometer, quartz vs auto, ETA, PR, WR, etc. Buys 2 Christopher ward watches - quartz Malvern C3 chronograph and automatic Malvern C5

Dip my toes into some micros and Chinese watches. Mixed results. Some great value watches, but quality leaves a lot to be desired. Buy 3 Perpetual (micro from HK) brand watches. Love 1, 1 just ok, 1 is a POS.

Nice narrative. It shows the growing excitement when you realise you discovered something great.
