    Show your automatic beaters

Don’t know if this is repeating an existing thread, but can you post photos of your automatic beaters. I specify "automatic" because they are not usually regarded as beaters due to their lack of ruggedness. So it would be interesting to see your automatic beaters, with maybe your comments on them.

This will go better if you define your idea of a "beater". Otherwise you'll just get a bunch of pictures of two tone Rolexes worn while people play frisbee with their dogs.

Usually this one. Pretty shock resistant. Carbon case. Canvas Strap. Perfect beater

Mine is a quartz Marathon so I'm out. I consider a beater the one I wear when banging it is almost guaranteed like working on equipment or construction/demo work.

    Re: Show your automatic beaters

For me it's hard to go wrong with a cheap automatic Seiko as a beater. Water resistant and durable enough for my uses but won't empty my wallet if it does happen to eventually break. Though it may be worth noting that I work behind a desk and my watches generally don't take a ton of abuse.

Haha. I knew only the best would do for EnderW. I had a little bet with myself and wondered whether you'd post a perfectly suitable, don't care if I smash it watch.

    Nice one :)

My most beater-y watches are quartz, but I get a lot of use out of these for times when they might be exposed to moderate danger/activity.

Well, it depends on activity. For really rough stuff - only R Mille would do.
But if it's not too much force on the watch - things like hiking or lawn mowing or working or changing car tier - Lange can stand up to those just fine
