Picture Show your first ever watch

    Hey guys,

Today while searching for something and going through old stuff I found this:

My first watch, a gift from my grandfather. It's a Swatch, model LB116.
I must've been around 6 years old. I remember while practising reading an analogue watch, my parents asked me for the time and it was 6:15, I answered with 9:15. Which caused a bit of confusion that evening. If you look close at the dial, the numbers are unusually arranged.

What was your first watch? Do you remember how you got it? And do you still have it?

My over 40 year old Wolbrook world time diver. Purchased in the late 70's when I was a high school age teen. 36mm manual wind mechanical, advertised as being so water resistant they ship it in a water filled container, and that is exactly how it arrived. I had to remove the lid and pour the water out to retrieve and begin wearing it. Still have it and it still winds and runs fine.

This pic isn't mine (lost long ago) but my first that I can remember was also a Swatch.

Not my first but my oldest - Vulcain Nautique manual wind purchased in 1967 when I was enlisted in the U.S. Army:

I got my first watch as a Christmas present while in Jr. High and due to my rough & tumble lifestyle, I soon destroyed it! I don't recall what brand it was.

I had other watches as a kid, but this is the first watch I really wore on a consistent basis.

Looking back, I'm have no idea why I was so keen on it. Weird integrated bracelet, and I'm sure it looked giant on me.

My first watch- The Swatch "Don't Be Too Late." I think I got it in 1986 or 87 from my sister as a Birthday present. I no longer have it but wish I did (not my photo):
