    Sinn 104

    Hi everyone,

I am thinking about buying a Sinn 104. I do not own a pilot's watch, and I am very enamored with the design of this watch and the build quality of Sinn watches in general.

Before I proceed, are there any other watches you believe I should consider at this price point or in this style before I make my purchase? I am confident about the watch I want to buy, but I want to make sure there aren't other watches I should be considering.

    Best Regards,

    JDaddy

Nope, the 104 is a cracking choice. I think for the price point it's hard to find anything better. Their watches have a no-nonsense honesty that really appeals to me.

Some will say the Damasko. I happen to like the style of the 104 more, even though I now own a Sinn and a Damasko, but the Sinn is polished and the Damasko is ice hardened, which will stand up to scratches more. I love the 104 with the stick indices, personally. Good luck!

Many thanks UberDave and 41Mets! I like Damasko, but their watches look more tactical to me, whereas the Sinn 104 is dressier, which I like. I am feeling very confident about my choice!

One of my favorite Sinns. I however prefer the baton over arabic version and the strap over the bracelet, but thats just me. What it lacks in Sinn tech it makes up for by delivering pure Sinn DNA in a crisp clean package. Haven't owned a Sinn yet but when I do it will be a Sinn 104.

I got a 104, love it. For what it is, the design and size and wearability. It's still under appreciated.

Also, I must say on a slight tangent, whatever they did with the crown, it's one of the smoothest screw in crown actions I've ever encountered on any watch period. In any price range.

I also like that the 104 is vey versatile. Probably more so than the other Sinns. It's both tool like, but the polished case and stick indices can be dressed up without issues too.

Also I love the fact that it's also water resistant. It's really an all around keeper.

Well, the Stowa TO1 is certainly not dressy but for about the same price you get a TESTAF certified pilot's watch with an ultra clean dial that is about as legible as it gets. It's 200m WR and has a titanium case. It's also much bigger at 45mm.

Go with the 104. I'd have one by now, but the polished case (prefer brushed) and display case back (pointless) are deal breakers for me. If you're not bothered, then it's a no brainer.

The Fortis B42 would be a good competitor. However, it comes with numerals. Like the red seconds hand.
Dievas Focal and Damasko 46 would be my choice over the Sinn 104.
    Kind regards

    I considered 104 but as I was after a chrono I chose 103 instead.

Some comment the 104's crown is not so comfortable as it's "hitting" to hand.
    Is it really so?

At least with 103 there is no such issue because it has thicker case back.
