Smaller size dial. But watch looks and feels bigger?

So I never thought I would get a 42mm till I stumbled across this Hublot.
People always assume it to be smaller than a 42 and it actually doesn't look big to me.
Looks beautiful and stands out in a nice way IMO. I have gotten many compliments on this watch.

This rolex is a smaller size but for some reason feels and looks bigger.
Is it because the Hublot is a thinner watch? Or maybe because the actual dial inside the Hublot is smaller?

    I'm pretty sure that's normal.
A 34mm Rolex DateJust looks fine on my wrists, and I have come across some other brands of 36 and even 38mm that look small.
    Depends on the watch.
If it looks and feels okay, then it's okay.
