    Smile Smiling Watches

    Hello All!

I am sure most of us are well aware of the standard 10:10 position for photographs. My question is this; on pieces that have a date window, is there a date that is most frequently used?

I guess the question is; are there numeric characters that watch companies/photographers prefer to show off the date wheel?

Chew on that one and let me know what you think!!
    Cheers!

Oh dear, oral joke from the dentist...

I thought there would not be a photo-favoured date so I popped into the Rolex website to prove it to myself. After finding the first dozen watches I looked at all had "28" in the date window I decided I was wrong.

If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family Anatidae on our hands.

All that means is that the photo shoot for the Rolex catalogue/website was done on the 28th....

Jaeger LeCoultre took the majority of the photos on the 18th.

    Re: Smiling Watches

After reading this thread I searched a ton of watch photos and noticed that although there was no specific date they all had double digit dates, or at least the majority did. I guess it fills in the date box rather than make it look like an empty space!
