I don't think Ed's watch is ugly at all. Why because it doesn't say Hamilton on the dial. You know if it did. There would be lots of these in this thread.

LOL - That is spot on! I wanted to buy a parts watch so I spotted a damaged, barely functional example with a cracked crystal, trashed case and missing pushers, resolved to overpay generously up to $1K because there was no other place to find replacement parts and watched slack-jawed as someone blew 4K on it -- more than the price of an NOS version of the same piece.

I'm not sure I trust it. I was able to get to the sign up page and the translator said they were asking for a social secrity number. No way I'm giving that to a foreign web site.

Cool watch, definately keep looking, I actually now have 9 still BNIB Timex's from the 80's that were the exact ones I had wanted when I was a kid in the 80's. Quite a few older Timex's I am still fond of. Now the only watch that will suffice for me is a Casio G-Shock, anything else just won't do.
Experience is what you end up with when you didn't get what you wanted.

That is probably your translator issue.

Actually, in Korean websites, MOST registration is done using Korean version of social security number to identify real people as well as identify the real age of the registrar (the Korean SSN has the birthdate coded into them)

Many of the sites will wave that requirement if you identify yourself as non-resident of the country.

I could be wrong as I do not know which site you are talking about.
