If you remember my thread, I'm searching for a Panerai. Many of you suggested that I go and try them on - and I'm so glad you did! I've cleared A LOT up, and am posting here for further input.
So, I discovered, that I have to have a 47mm case. I tried on every size (except for the tiny due line), and I really like the look and feel of the 47mm - whether it was the submersible or the Luminor. I was really shocked that the submersible fit me so well - as I was thinking before I saw it that it would look horrendous on me. I was totally wrong.
So based on the two watches I tried, I've technically got 3 options:
1. Pam 422
2. Pam 423
3. Submersible 1305
Now, none of those 3 watches meet my "ideal" criteria. I really wanted Green lume, 300m water resistance, sandwich dial and an exhibition case. (In order of priority). I'm willing to sacrifice a few of those. I talked to the guy about the sandwich dials having brighter lume, and he said that is a myth. He said that people think it is a big plate on the sandwich dials when it is just a cut out that is filled in.
What I really liked about the 422 and 423 was the case and domed crystal. It looked amazing in person.
Any input about other models similar to this would be really appreciated!
Anyways, here are the pictures!!!
