So my toddler somehow got a hold of my watch...

...and it's now running + 65 seconds/day. Sigh. It's a yobokies SNK mod, so taking it in for an adjustment is liable to cost as much as the watch did.

What should I do? (aside from find a more toddler-resistant watch storage location)

When my 2 year old son tried to take my Omega Speedmaster and started crying because I wouldn't put the watch on his wrist so he could look like daddy, I gave him my Seiko. Happily the Seiko still works like a charm, though it's a little beat up (but nothing more than cosmetic damage.)

Put the watch on a NATO and strap it on his wrist. That's what I did.

Visit the Seiko forum as there is a sometime fix for this if the mainspring has gotten stuck. As I recall it involves holding the watch in one hand and hitting the side of the case against the palm of your other hand. It may work and the Seiko folks should be able to give you more thorough instructions.

Yes, this happened to my Baume and Mercier when it was dropped from a short distance, and I held the watch crystal down in one hand, and applied a smack to the bottom of the case.

Throw the baby out with the bathwater...wait, I guess you're NOT supposed to do that... Oh, that's too bad. Just be glad it wasn't a high end piece that the service would set you back hundreds or more.

Smack the watch. Take the toddler to a watch repairer. No, hang on...

Many toddler toys have magnets. Possibly the watch is magnetized, try the demagnetizer (cheap from ebay) OR, you can try to hold the watch back to the OLD CRT screen and run degauze (sp?) couple of times and see whether your watch runs better. Another possibility is as noted by others, your spring may have been slightly stuck and need a good whack.
