    Solar Watch?!?

    Hello all,

I am looking for a watch that I can wear as an every day watch and am looking at solar quartz. I don't want automatic! I want a watch, that keeps time. I don't want to have to keep looking at a clock to make sure my watch is correct. I have another watch that I wear for work for 6-7 hours a day, a G-shock Mudman, a big thanks goes out to everyone in the forums for helping me chose its great, and this chosen watch will be sitting on dresser for that time. So an automatic will not fit the bill even though I like the styling of the Seiko SNZG15.

I am looking at solar quartz beucase you don't have to change the battery, well respectivly, for 10-20 years. I want want something that is going to be duraiable enough to withstand that time, considering I am a little tough on my watches. The Citizen Eco-Drive seems to be the best choice in this category.

I like Military Style watches and Dive watches. I have been looking at the Citizen AT0200-05E (, and the Citizen BN0000-04H ( I really like the Citizen "Ecozilla" however it sits off the arm a little too much for me and a tad out of my absolute maximum price of $180. I hate silicone watch bands watches so if one is selected then I will need to get a new band, either metal or leather therefore that will need to be factored into the budget.

So if someone could help please, I want to pull the trigger soon! Patience is a virtue i guess, Any help would be great, suggestions are welcome!!

THanks in advance for the help in advance!

You could try the SSC015. It's a solar chronograph diver. I've really enjoyed mine.

Take a look at the extensive collection of solar cell watches on I know Citizen is well represented on that site and I would assume Casio is too.

Far and away the biggest players in the solar watch market are Citizen and Seiko. I'd try and google and amazon search for solar powered watch and sort by price to see what comes up. Good luck!
