It is certainly a skeleton watch for sure.

yep, ML sucks at value retention but as a watch lover's watch, they make some kick ass stuff.

Totally agree. Their retail prices are a bit optimistic, but they do have some very awesome designs if you can get the watches for the right price.

Re: Some Maurice Lacroix Skeleton Love

I think resale pricing could change if they continue in their current direction. They're getting away from cheaper quartz models, lowering production and moving most of their lineup to in-house movements. They don't have 100 year history, but as we know a lot of companies have this in name only. ML will need to continue to innovate to be recognized in the industry.

I think their retail pricing strategy is getting more realistic, and I'm also seeing a lot of gray market sites listing higher than ML retails. My AD told me that my new Masterpiece Squelette retails for $6500, but most of the gray market sites put that number at $7400. I think they're inflating their pricing to make discounts look larger than they really are. The gray market will always exist, but from what I've read you won't be finding as much ML out there.

I pulled my Explorer II out last night, but change my mind this morning. Had to wear my skeleton again.
