Rolling eyes Something peculiar & interesting thing happened at my favorite dealer

Well, I was at my AD a couple of weeks back. He is an authorized dealer of Omega, Rolex, etc etc.
Also, he has the best servicing guys in the city. Owns loads of certificates from Geneve and can open/service almost any watch
He is the goto guy when I need to get any buffing or servicing. I was at his store to get buffing for my BM Capeland and RW Freelancer.
This time, he asked for an exorbitant price. I wasn't ready to pay that. I had to walk off.

Next week, I called him again, asking for the servicing price for my TAG. He immediately recalled it was me.
He said, not to walk off, he will provide a better price for TAG / BM & RW and requested to visit him again.
This time, he was really polite, offered a good price for buffing/servicing price. I gave him all.
He also offered me a lot of booklets and magazines from Omega, Cartier, Hublot, Corum, Rolex (all for Free).
Also, he gave me an invite to Exclusive Omega Exhibition with cocktails for the same evening. It was marvelous and I was overjoyed.
He then asked me, "Are you still angry with me?", I happily said "No" and we shook hands.

He always saw the way I keep my watches so safely.
The way I have 3 boxes - 1 for Quartz (12 slots), 1 forMechanicals (12 slots) and 1 for the current week I choose to wear.
He whispered, " I see you take great care of your watches. Are you married ?" I said "Yes".
He then asked me, "Do you similarly take great care of your wife?". He smiled.

That question, although a whisper was a question I asked myself whole weekend. Took my wife out for movies / shopping.
It remains reminiscent and I'll ensure I always make that extra effort to take care of her as I do with my watches (I love them :P)

It was a good post with a good outcome and a nice message. I appreciated reading it to start my day.

Glad to read that your AD is taking care of you and that you are taking care of your watches and your wife.

    All good stuff to me.

LOL, she's one lucky lady if you take care of her as well as you take care of your watches!

Nice message about the wife and I'm glad you have such a good relationship with your AD. You must have spent some serious money in there. A happy wife is a happy life, and you'll probably be allowed to buy more watches.

I'm still wondering why he tried to gouge you for the B&M buffing?

    Nice story otherwise.
