The sterile dial is a German with a Durowe movement circa the late 1930's. From the best of my research, it is a conversion from civilian to military time piece. Because of the scarcity of parts and the high demand for military watches, it wasn't uncommon to do such a conversion.
It appears to have been relumed at some time in the distant past, but other than that it's original.
