    Sottomarino Italia

Hi everybody. A couple of weeks ago, I ran across Sottomarino Italia watches at the mall. I thought the designs were great at a very affordable price. I bought two, both at 50% off retail. The first is an Otaria which has an internal rotating bezel, and the second in the Stella Chrono. The Stella is derivative of Welder (the dial), U-Boat (the crown), and Panerai/Anonimo (the case).

Unfortunately, most of their models have mineral crystals. I would have preferred to pay a little extra for sapphire, but I'm hoping that because the crystals are flat, they will be less prone to scratches. In any case, I was told the crystals can be replaced for $20.

Exclusively chronographs with rotating bezel and date.

The Trident spear design is one of the things that drew me in. As for the movement, it is a Miyota is mine and is one of my favorite watches. It gets noticed.......
