    Special occasion watches

I normally save this one for special occasions. Unfortunately that means it spends most of its life sitting on the winder, unnoticed. So I decided on a whim that Tuesday August 6 would be a special occasion, and strapped it on. Turns out it was a self-fulfilling act - it has indeed made my Tuesday.

Don’t have any “special occasion” watches. One advantage of letting the rota rule things. However, when a special occasion does roll round I don’t have a specific watch to wear.

Technically, this looks like a special occasion watch, as it goes perfectly with suits and the like, but I wear it all the time! Every day above ground is special!

My "special occasion" watch has been deemed so, simply because it's my only gold watch....

I would count my SevenFriday as a special occasion watch, with the special occasion being "when I feel like it". It's definitely not an everyday watch.

Bought this and a custom strap to wear to my daughters wedding last year.

I wear it for semi formal/formal occasions.

That would have to be my vintage G-P SeaHawk.

It's my only gold watch, so it's my "go to" every time I find myself wearing a jacket and tie.

That's a cool dial. What are the white parts made of? Different material inlay?
