Speedy Pro vs. Tudor Black Bay vs. Panerai Radiomir

I'm considering adding another watch to the collection, but I'm torn between a Speedy Pro (vintage), Tudor Black Bay, or a Panerai Radiomir. I love the looks of each and either one will be a welcomed addition to the rotation, but as I'm more of a novice in the watch-world, I thought I'd seek WUS-community input on the best choice. As such, fellow WUS-members - if you had your choice between the three, which one would you choose and why? I'd be buying a used watch and the three big factors I'm considering are quality, value-retention (or growth), and street cred in the watch-world.

    Speedy is the obvious choice.

Quality - all three meet it

Value retention - Tudor, then Panerai, Speedy

Street Cred - All three meet this.

    For me it would be

    1. Tudor
    2. Speedy
    3. PAM

IMO, black bay but I might be a little bias :P but to be honest can't go wrong with any of them. Go try them first, you might dislike one of them on your wrist.

Speedy would be my pick based on your criteria.

My money would go on the Speedy then the Panerai.

Theres nothing wrong with the black bay, many on here love i but it's just not a watch for me.

It depends on the watch. If you can find a preowned Panerai 338 for a decent price (I've seen one recently), I'd go with that.

    Some things to think about:

Will you enjoy the ability to change straps on the Radiomir?
Is the history of the Speedy important/cool to you?
Will you ever use the chronograph?

    All nice watches though.

You've listed them in my order of preference, Speedy definetly number 1 per your criteria. Speedy is a classic and important in history. I loved my Black Bay, but sold it to fund a classic Submariner which will hold its value and even appreciate over time--the BB won't, or at least won't for quite a while. And, Paneri are just too large for me so easy to place 3rd.

Re: Speedy Pro vs. Tudor Black Bay vs. Panerai Radiomir

I feel like the speedy (assuming a pro, ie. moonwatch) has the most 'cred' around WIS, and most historically significant. That being said there are so many variations and been around so long, they are rather "common" and I personally, can't get myself to buy one. I totally understand why it's so heralded, but like the Submariner, it just doesn't speak to me.

My personal preference would probably be:
    Tudor BB Black
PAM 512 (or other 42mm Radiomir for my small wrist)
    Speedmaster Pro

I got a black bay last year and likely a speedy this coming week. It's a tough call but if you have to pick one I'd go with black bay.
