    Sport watch suggestions

So on the heels of my wedding and crazy wedding watch purchase I was given a sum to spend as a wedding gift from my grandfather. I am looking for a sport watch tha, because if the nature of the gift, will never be sold. It will serve as the heirloom he didn't have to give.

I'd love suggestions, my budget is $8k or under; my two starting watches would be a vintage Rolex or a GO Sport Evo. In a lottery winning world, I'd love a VC overseas dual time. Any and all suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hard to argue with your initial instincts there.
I see in your signature, you have a Pam homage, you certainly could get a nice Panerai of some sort with 8k.
    A JLC Diver?
    Rolex DeepSea?

If you're out to please yourself instead of impressing others, this is a very fine candidate:

BP FF? (can it be had for 8K new? I know one can certainly get one used in LNIB condition for that price - I see Authentic watches sells for $6500 on rubber strap)
    Very iconic..

How about IWC Aquatimer on bracelet and you will have money left over for your lovely wife to get a sporty watch as well (in addition to the wonderful GO...)

Your 2 starting point is very good one as well.

    Good luck in your hunt!
