    Squale Tropic GMT

So, this guy landed at my door step a few days ago and though there are a few things that Squale can do to improve on it, for $800 brand sparkling new and shipped, it would be the hight of arrogance to ask for more.

The watch head is flawless. The only thing I'd change is the odd 21mm lug width, to the more friendly 22mm. Besides this the watch is absolutely perfect.

The bracelet is another matter. If you wear the watch a bit loose on the bracelet, and you move your wrist so as to have the rotor wind the watch, the bracelet sounds like a mouse trapped in a glue board. Other than this the link and end links are solid and the screw pins work like butter. The clasp doesn't seem to be at a par with the bracelet's built but it's not bad, again considering the price point.

Besides this pecadillos, I am really enjoying this solidly built diver. At 43mm it's a perfect fit for my taste. And this color combo, along with the wet effect of the ceramic bezel in the light, it's a sight to be seen; mesmerizing!

Congratulations! How is the bezel action? My Squale GMT's bezel is quite tight, but I still like the watch. Your brother says "what's up."

...to clarify, what I mean that my bezel is tight, is that it is hard to rotate.

Yes, Gnomon seems to be the place to go for these. Free express 3 day shipping too.

Hey anrex! The bezel on mine is fine. Maybe a watch maker can loosen your up, if it's too tight. Thanks for your comment!

Thanks! I specially like the departure from the Mecedez hands. I've seen them so much that I wanted something else in that regards. I love these straight and tipped hands.

Can't argue with this. The SM is an icon. Have owned it more than once and I'm really considering this guy, for a future purchase.
