    Storing automatic for a week

I'm going on vaca for a week, and will be taking my timex instead of my automatic watch for securities sake. Can I adjust my watch ahead to the day that I get back and then just pull out the crown to stop the movement, or am I better off just letting it run down and then resetting and wearing when I get back?

    Thanks

Good question, I never thought of it before I just normally let the watch run down. I suppose there won't be any harm leaving the watch stopped but would like to hear any opinions of other forumers.

How about this for thought........ I'd let it run down...but hopefully, run down before you left.
Point being...When you get back you arent going to know if it stopped in the AM or PM mode...
No big deal,it'll just take a lot more on your part (not knowing) where it stopped,to set the watch.
