    STOWA FLIEGER VS STEINHART CHRONO

    hi guys,
for my 18 birthday i can buy a new watch around 1k euro.
    can't choose between the following.

stowa flieger baumuster B or the handwind 6498.
or the steinhart nav-B II chrono or the marine officer.

the stow movement looks really nice especially the 6498
i got a big wrist so i'm afraid the stowa's would look small on me.

the steinhart chrono's look really good wondering how good the dlc wil hold up over time.

Get the Stowa. Higher quality watch and FAR superior customer service. And unless your wrist is 9" or larger, it's impossible for the Stowa to be too small IMO. I'm 6'3" with an 8" wrist and I don't own anything larger than 42mm. But if you feel it's too small for you than you're never going to truly enjoy it.

    the watches look amazing.
    just wondering about the movement.
stowa looks so simple maybe even too simple.

The steinhart nav-B II chrono DLC is perhaps on the #1 spot of my to buy list, but I am afraid the coating is not holding very well from what I've heard. But it's the right size for a big wrist, 40mm like the Stowa will be a bit awkward IMO.

yeah thats what a though too.
but the manual wind is 41mm ^^
still the stowa wind movement looks so stunning compared to steinhart.

but i'm afraid the stowa will look boring over time.
the steinhart has so many more details etc.

I would take the Stowa, much better constructed watch for the money.

Resale value on watches is always less then the price you bought it for. Its an 18th birthday watch - why would you want to sell it?

How big is your wrist? (Wrap a piece of paper around it then measure the length.)
