Leather Straps.
How much scruff and scratches do you tolerate before you go screaming and get a new strap? What level of damage do you allow?

"Strap on?" Hey now fella, this isn't that kind of forum...
EDIT: Serious answer, it depends on the style of watch. Distressed leather on a tool watch - so long as the leather is still supple - can look quite fitting. But on a dress watch, less so.

Just rub it out.... any scuffs and scratches on your leather. If it doesn't come out, rub harder. Use lotion and leather conditioner as needed.
Depends on what you want. Some people like the ones that go around your nose, I'm more traditional myself
Oh oh. Note to self, read more than the thread title
Have boxes full of straps (sad, but true). I don't like/wear bracelets. Scuffs or scratches are rare and never been an issue for me. Water is the bigger threat, so I generally remove watch. Though I have my favourites, which are still going strong after many years (none were/are particularly expensive and some must be 8+ years old) there are so many fine examples of the strapmaker's art that buying/swapping straps is part of the enjoyment of wearing a watch. Consequently, I've never had one completely wear out or get too tatty looking (yet). Nothing wrong with a bit of wabi on a strap, though. So long as it's not falling to bits.
I love the battered look on leather. I wear them until they fall apart.

Personally I don't like the fact that leather holds sweat and looks like .... on the inside after a while. Must admit I thought I'd logged on to the wrong forum when I saw thread title lol
I am not a huge fan of leather it gets hot here and then I have to undo that little zip on the front of the mask. Which kind of ruins the effect.
