Question Strap Color vs. Shoe Color

Okay, we all know that your belt is supposed to match your shoes... but is your watch strap supposed to match your shoes? I read somewhere that since a watch is considered jewelery it is independent and the strap should match the watch; I think I agree with that sentiment. What do you all think?

I could care less what my belt or shoes look like. I wear whatever strap/bracelet looks good with my watch.

That is a new one! I have not thought about that!!
Maybe it is not a good combination wearing pink shoes, a brown belt and an orange strap!

Belt and shoes pretty much always match (more or less) for me. But regarding strap I personally don't really care.

Don't care one way or another. I have too many straps to worry about it.

Black boots & black belt (holding my pants up).

The strap / bracelet matches the watch.

I've thought it not good style to have black shoes/belt and have a brown strap or vice versa. I generally try to match when it works, but have several SS bracelets that work with anything. So my rule is match when I can but SS works with everything.

The problem is, if you start thinking about the shoe/belt/strap combo, you must also throw the colour of the dial into the combination. It will be a bit complicated.
    I just do not worry.

When not wearing a SS bracelet, I try to match the strap to my belt and shoes, yes. I think a brown strap with black belt/shoes looks bad, and vice-versa. Just personal preference.

I try to match all the leather colors as well - watch strap/belt/shoes. Most watches can look good with a black or brown strap. However, it's not a hard and fast rule. I've got a few straps that I like, but I'd never wear shoes that color
