    Sub $250 40mm chronograph

I'm looking for a 40mm chronograph for under $250, i know a mechanical chronograph is almost impossible with this price point so i am open to quartz but i would like it to tick more than once a second such as a mecha-quartz movement.
some things i would like it to have:
    40mm or less case size
Rectangular pushers but this isn't a requirement
    and sub-dials at 3, 6, 9
and the running seconds at the 6 o'clock

I'm personally a fan of the Junkers 6086-5 which comes in right at $250 on Amazon. It doesn't tick all your boxes, but it is 40mm and a great style in my opinion.

I hate to be "that guy", but if you can squeeze a little more out of your budget, you can get Sea Gull mechanical chronographs for $300 from Long Island Watch. I've had a couple and they are pretty nice, especially for the price. Hand wound, and the pushers are very light/smooth.

The other options mentioned here are very nice as well. Just wanted to point out that a mechanical chronograph isn't far out of your reach. If you buy used, you can easily find them.

The combination of these two requirements means that you'll draw a blank. Meca-quartz has the running second at 6 but ticks at 1bps, the mechanical alternatives based on the ST19 column wheel chrono or the Poljot 3133 have the running seconds at 9.

May I suggest a Certina DS_2. I see them go for around $300 or so used. There's a huge thread in the HAQ forum. I have one and am pretty impressed with the quality of them.
