Question Suggestion for day/date/readable at night sub-$250 watch for dad?

    Hey gang,

Just found out about this great resource when I was digging into the quality on the Invicta and Swiss Legend brand and figured I'd try you guys out for a recommendation on a watch for my dad. He's approaching 70 and I got him a real nice Seiko that he kindly asked that I return because "he couldn't read it in the dark". *sigh* So the key requirements are that it has both the day of the week and date readable in nice large font and that it is also readable in the dark. It also needs to be waterproof/resistant as he NEVER takes his watches off. I'd like to keep it under $250, but want to stay away from the Walmart brand Casios and Timex and things of that nature if I can. A "nice", functional watch that does what he wants it to do is what I am after. Thanks for any idea you might be able to throw my way.

    Regards,
    Jeff

There are several watches that can be read in low light, it all depends on the style you want and how readable you want to go. If you want something that can be read for most of the night go with something with Super Luminova if you want to go with reading all the time in the dark you will have to go with Trition tubes...The staying at 250 may be difficult but not impossible if you state the style and size I am sure we could point you in the right directions

Im surprised he couldn't read the Seiko. They usually have very good Lume.
