    Suggestion on watch

    Hi,

Hopefully this is the right section for this type of thread.

I am currently looking for a new watch. I currently have a tissot prc200 however at 39mm I find it way to small for my 8.25in wrist and was looking for something more around 45mm.

I LOVE the omega seamasters however those are currently well out of my price range. I also love the look of the tag carrera 1887 with the red, however it is also well out of my price range. I took a look at some seikos and found one that I liked the look of, however I can find next to no information on it.

The watch is the seiko sndd85. Is there anyone that can give any info on it.

I would also be up to suggestions. Would love to stay under $200 for this one.

What kind of information are you looking for? According to this Overstock.com page it's a 43mm quartz chronograph (although looking at other pages, some say 444mm, and one said 46mm - so?), available for $119.99. They have some of the other details on it there too, though I can't vouch for the accuracy :

      • Case: Stainless Steel
      • Caseback: Stainless Steel Screw-down
      • Bezel: Tachymeter
      • Dial: Black
      • Hands: White
      • Markers: Silver Applied Indexes
      • Calendar: Date
      • Strap/Bracelet: Silver Stainless-Steel
      • Clasp: Fold Over Clasp With Double Push Button Safety
      • Crystal: Hardlex
      • Crown: Push/pull
      • Movement: Quartz
      • Water resistance:100 Meters / 330 Feet / 10 ATM
      • Case measurements: 43 wide 10 mm thick
      • Strap/Bracelet measurements: 20mm wide x 8.5 inches long

As far as recommendations, lots of folks like Orient at that price range, and if you're looking for an automatic, Seiko 5's.

And it's always good to post pics!

Seiko or Orient dive watches are a little beefier and are nice automatics. What about the Seiko Monster (any of them)?

A little more than you want to spend but if you like the Omega Seamaster look, save up a couple hundred more and get a Chris Ward Trident
    C60 Trident Pro Sport/Dive Men

In the $200 and under range, you really cont go wrong with a Seiko SKX ... either SKX007 or 009 if you like the pepsi look. Great watches for the money, incredibly tough, and legit divers.

    Re: Suggestion on watch

Thanks. I basically just wanted to know if the watch I posted is of decent enough quality to not just break within a few months of being purchased?

I like the look of some of the other watches suggested I will take a look at them more too.

8.25 wrist. You have nice sized wrist and can handle a lot of models out there.

I'd say take a look at Deep Blue. The Gen 1 Deep Blue Depth Master has an "Omega Seamaster inspired" dial, lumed sapphire bezel, and high beat Miyota 9015 auto movement.

Also recommend you check out Armida, Helson, Magrette, Benarus, Raven, Zenton, Zixen, Marathon, Prometheus and probably a few more I've left out. Lot's to choose from.
