I'd love to have a Sinn 556 Anniversary with anthracite dial and applied indices, but the markup now that they are sold out is too much. The closest alternative is a 556 I, but I'd really like applied indices. I'm shooting for 36 - 38mm.

What is out there in a grey or black dial, applied indices, on bracelet around $1000, that is in much the same vein?

Christopher Ward C65 Vintage, if you can tolerate the Old Radium colored lume. The previous model looked more like the 556 since it had crown guards (and a screw down crown), but those are sold out so you'll be trying to hunt a used one. New model loses the crown guards and no longer has a screwed crown, but still 150m WR.

    Geckota E-01 in 36mm.

Maybe halios seaforth fixed bezel with the grey sunburst, although closer to 40mm I believe

This will be available in black but Kickstarter begins October. $649 Kickstarter price.

    But it is 40.
How about a preowned Monta triumph on a strap?

Also the Nodus Contrail 39. Bezel is pretty thick, so it will likely wear a bit smaller than 39mm.

If I recall the Longines Conquest has applied indices

I don't think applied indices, but certainly nice watches.

Trouble is that the Sinn is a flieger watch and fliegers typically don't have applied indices as they take their design queues from instruments on a flight panel.
