Recently bought a used Victorinox from a charity auction site, appears to be a Infantry model Chrono, overall it looks good, but, it doesn't have any model or reference numbers on the case back. markings on the face seem correct, just seems odd to me there are no reference numbers anywhere on the watch. only paid $40 for it and it was for a good cause, so if it's a knockoff I am not really to worried about it, just nice to know what I have in case I need it serviced.

My guess is that its legit. Other than G Shocks, I don't think there are too many knock offs floating around of watches that cost less than $1000 new and genuine. It would probably be too much effort for the pay out.

Hope so, it's a good beater watch to wear, just needs cleaned up a bit

Think again. Name a brand, any brand, and you'll find fakes of their watches floating around the internet. Usually sold at online shops that advertise "replica" watches. I've even seen fake Invicta models that barely sell for $250.

Thanks for the replies folks, the "T Swiss Made T" Tritium markings on the dial threw me off, I had forgotten about tritium paint which makes this one at least 5 years old I think.

As was already mentioned, there are fakes of everything. I know there are Tissot PRC200 fakes out there.
