    Tax Return Watch?

It's that time of the year again... I jumped the gun and bought a Stowa Seatime with the money I should be getting back. Anyone else have plans to blow their refund on a new watch?

Any refund I get will be going toward a new TV. We're currently watching a 12 year old set that I got secondhand from my brother. It's been a good TV, but lately the picture has shifted to the right, making reading any text virtually impossible.

Besides, I got a Xbox 360 for Christmas and I wanna play games in HD.

If you're in California and you get a State refund instead of a watch you'll be getting an I.O.U. Isn't that sweet?

You are in for a treat! It is like a million times better.

As far as this thread goes... what a bummer- I thought it would be a fun one. Stupid recession.

Believe me, there's nothing like a Xbox 360 game in HD. Very, very nice. I was using an Infocus IN72 on an 80" screen and it looked pretty good, but there were some jaggies even when it was displaying 1080i since it's really a 480p projector. Just recently I purchased an Infocus X10, a 1080p native projector, and man, it's night and day in comparison. Very, very nice with no jaggies. My PS3 looks even better, especially with blu-ray movies. For people who say there's no difference between a blu-ray movie and an upconverted DVD movie haven't seen a true blu-ray movie setup on a HDTV. For example, Tropic Thunder looked incredible. You could literally see each little piece of stub of hair in their beards.

If we receive one - and I haven't glanced at my taxes yet - and there's enought to more or less split it with SWMBO - I'll try and use some of it for the timezone school part 2. Tools, the movement and class are only about $450.
    Cheers,

A refund is what you get back after you give the government an interest free loan for a year.
