Tell me why I shouldnt buy this watch

So Im looking for my first nicer automatic watch and I came across this:

    http://gnomonwatches.com/Aristo5h67.htm

I like a lot of things about this watch, from its size to its dial to the case material.

However, from reading these boards I get the impression that Aristo doesnt have a great reputation.

Can anyone tell me why I shouldnt get this watch, and what they would suggest instead.

    Thanks very much!

Not sure where you get Aristo doesn't have a great reputation. Aristo manufactures a fine watch for their price point. While they might not be as well known as other German brands, the watches are just as well made. The watch is powered by a Swiss ETA 2824-2 Automatic Movement. Which you will find in many perceived higher end watches. I just received an Aristo watch and I love it. Everything about the watch is well done I couldn't be happier with the watch.

I am missing the triangle at 12; it is not a pilot dial though. It may be considered "close" to a pilot dial. Have a look at Archimede watches. The Archimede pilot has a very good reputation.
    Kind regards

Everybody should keep in mind that there are different grades of ETA 2824-2 (up to COSC quality) available, the Aristo is fitted with a standard ETA 2824-2.

Perhaps I should just save up and get the Stowa Airman, which I love.

Any other opinions of this watch, or possible alternatives?

I'll say this - if the Stowa Airman is the watch that you love - this one won't fit the bill. The Stowa is hardly what would be considered an absurdly expensive watch - i.e., you, I, and other mere mortals could actually afford one with a bit of saving. So hide this money under your mattress and wait until you have the funds to get what you want.

Nothing wrong with Aristo, but if the Stowa is what you really want...

If you love the Stowa Airman then save up for it. You won't be disappointed with it.
