    Test Driving Something New

Got the chance to test out a new watch for the week. Looks like a fairly interesting entry into the go-anywhere/beach to boardroom market. 38mm, gilt hands, acrylic crystal, exhibition caseback. Thoughts?

Throw that throng on a nice distressed leather strap! Looks good. I was just reading about these watches somewhere else on the forum a bit earlier. What’s the movement like?

Good thought, pretty sure I have a strap or two I can throw on it, I haven't had a chance to measure the lugs though. Looks like 18mm maybe.

Neil has been making his previous field watch models for several years now, this will be the next one. It's running a 21-jewel Miyota movement, not sure if that will be the final production movement though.

Looks a whole lot like a Sinn 556i, with acrylic instead of Sapphire--think I'll stick with the Sinn for the beach-to-boardroom manoeuvers.

Also the size, type and color of hands and indices, crown guards, and finish. They’re more alike than different, but still very different in my eyes. This is more dress, the Sinn is more tool I think.

Apparently it's 19mm lugs, and all I had was an 18mm black croc. Not exactly the look you were envisioning, but I think it works.

Snapped a few family photos this morning. Definitely seems to carry through the theme of the brand with the circular color-matched date and the hands.

I was gonna say this, mods please remove sticky’s post so it looks like I thought of it first :)

Would prefer a square date window, but keep it framed like it is now. Not a huge deal, but I think it would look better
