One of my personal favorites in the sales forum. "It has the usual scratches on the lugs from strap changes." Or "It has some of the usual marks that will come right out with a Cape Cod cloth." I am certain none of my watches showed up from the factory with any of those marks. Lol

Never..., ever..., ever... say you hate G-Shocks... then take a poll on it...

I have found that some people just like to hear themselves typing.

Friends don't let friends buy G-Schlocks.

You think I'm condescending...?? Do you even know what that means... ??

If the marks are so easy to remove, why wouldn't the seller do it first? That's like trying to sell a dirty car.

Oh yeah: Car analogies should be banned as well. :p

I don't think so... I think they're good, though over-used. They help because cars are also a very obvious (somewhat) mechanical object with a huge range of price points and levels, and they all do basically the same job. So they deal with the same questions of what you're really paying for, why are prices what they are, and exponential price/value curves.

But there are also huge differences that are usually ignored, or that cause the analogy to go to far.

True, and I've done them myself, but I was kinda poking fun at my own car mini-analogy in this context. ;)
