    Thoughs? Sinn v Fortis v Seiko SARB023

I'm looking for cheapish automatic watches.

I have narrowed it down to

    - Sinn 556; or
    - Hamilton Kahki Field Automatic Watch (from ebay - http://cgi.ebay.com/Hamilton-H704551...3286.m20.l1116 )

Thoughts as to which is the best to go for?

As much as I like Hamilton, get the Sinn.

The 556 looks way better and over the long run the Sinn will retain a higher percentage of its original value.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with your front end. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with your rear end. Horsepower is how hard you hit the wall. Torque is how far you move the wall.

I once was totally certain on the 556. However the SS bracelet is so expensive and the face has a certain oddness. I used to like it but now, sometimes, it looks strange (maybe a little).

I would have to import both. Hamilton is 600AUD cheaper than the Sinn and would not get held up at Australian customs if I bought it. However the Sinn looks better made and perhaps finished.

You can't beat Hamilton for the value, it wouldn't hurt to wait and see if a few used ones pop up for both the Sinn and Hamilton. Good luck

Of those two, the Sinn. I'm not that into either of them though.

SINN by far. much more unique looking IMO. hamilton could be mistaken for many other watches, i think.

I really like both brands and am interested in getting a 556. I think it's more versatile being 200m water resistant and can easily turn from a sport watch into a dress watch by changing the strap. The Hamilton, which is a third of the price, is more of a run of the mill military style watch. It's nice but ordinary.

Own the Hammy. It's ok, but the lume on the numbers is mediocre (hands are decent) and I'd trade it for a Sinn any day. I'm sure both will keep pretty good time anyhow.

Both will tell the time and be equally accurate probably. I think the Sinn is more stylish due to the uniform blasted finish and matte dial. Now, if you like both equally, get the less expensive Hamilton. But if build quality, finish, and long term value matters more, get the Sinn, as its the better watch.
    Lots of dive watches.
