Well, I bought that watch because of the name in the first place, because I know Jim and because I wanted to have a watch to remeber my time in London - et voilá.
    Kind regards

A nice bit of memorabilia in addition to being an attractive timepiece, then.

Absolutely beautiful. Is that an enamelled dial?

Congratulations, wear it in health and happiness.

    Hi Mike,

Just stumbled on this, welcome back!

Nice pics, glad your enjoying it!

Et al - Re enameled dial - yes but not sure how its acheived, its not the old hot vitrious way, that would have been too expensive....I'll have to ask the dial makers. This caught me on the back foot actually, it was an impromptu sale over a few beers, not quite ready to launch yet, still waiting on presentation boxes and further strap options to arrive....
There will be 6 models initially, all vintage/military inspired......but more details at a later date.

Might be an enamel lacquer then, it's spread like paint on the dial and then baked?

    Beautiful watch, very nice dial.

To me, that looks like a lacquer dial, essentially a glossy painted finish. It is possible that the dial is heated just after applying the lacquer in order to level it to an ultrasmooth finish (old automobile paint finishes were done this way) but most modern lacquers are self-leveling and just require drying in a dust-free environment to look good.

Will love to see the launch of this watch.
