Confused Timex Reef Gear - stops working - on and off

Hello, got a Timex Reef Gear (blue), quite nice, but somehow it stops working (not sure if its due to the alarm) then somehow using the 2 crowns (moving them and pulling them), it starts working again,

When the watch stops working the Indiglo light doesn't work eider, more like the pressing down on the crown doesn't work.

Did anybody experience this with this watch? Any help would be appreciated.

Here is a picture of the watch:

The chapter ring mentions something about pulling the crown in certain ways to go into setting mode for the alarm? Don't know how it works. If you have the user manual, reading through it would help. I tried googling for a user manual for Timex Reef Gear but did not find one.

When you mention it stops working, what happens? The second hand stops?

It stops fully working, including the indiglo light (the button doesn't work). So the watch looks like it doesn't work at all, somehow moving the crowns (getting lucky) the watch starts working and the buttons for the indiglo light works too. Got no idea how.

I wonder if the watch stops (e.g. seconds hand stop moving) because the watch enter some alarm setting mode. When the watch resumes working, does the time move ahead back to the current time that it's supposed to be at? If yes, then maybe the watch entered some sort of setting mode. If no, then maybe the watch is malfunctioning.

Unless someone else has experience with this model, reading the user manual would shed light on it. If user manual is not available, maybe contact Timex for help? If it looks like it's malfunctioning, I don't know if a watchmaker could help with fixing it or not, or shed light on what's going on.

EDIT: also, the watch could stop if it's in time setting mode? So one needs to know if it's in time setting mode or not. When the crowns are turned, do the hour and minute hands move?

Try and see if you could find the user manual based on name or model number: http://www.timex.com/info/watch-manuals
