Question Too Good to Be True?

    Possibly a fake?

I don't know enough about Audemars, but I do know if it looks too good to be true...

Re: Too Good to Be True?

It stinks. If I was going to spend this kind of money on a watch, I'd expect, up front, iron-clad references and total disclosure of every bit of ID. Actually, I wouldn't buy anything like this on Ebay...I'd go to a recognized dealer in high-end/vintage watches.
    Keep List:

    Seiko SKXA35 Auto Diver
    Stauer Day/Date/Month Auto
    Glycine Incursore 100M Auto
    O&W Ocean Master Vintage handwinder
    G-Shock GW3000BD-1ajfa
    G-Shock MTG910DA-1
    Citizen EcoZilla diver
Hamilton Khaki Officer 44mm Unitas w/custom hands and lume
    Volmax Aviator 45mm handwinder
    Laco 42mm B-Type Flieger

    Wish List:

    Glycine Eugene Meylan
    Hamilton Jazzmaster PR
    Meistersinger Singlehand
A +40mm Seiko Alpinist, if Seiko ever decides to make one...

    My wrist size - 8"/20.3cm

(I wish my grandad left me something worth that kind of money that I could let go of!).

I was very impressed with the crisp gold stamping of "Patek Philippe - Geneva" on the inside of that leather PP strap!

    Geez, will people never learn?

    A fool and his etc.

Sometimes I think more of this should happen and more people should get ripped off. Taking money away from people stupid enough to buy a brand-new grandad's Audemars somehow seems entirely apt.

Meanwhile the rest of us will give eBay a very, very wide betrh.
