    Tudor Ranger heritage crown

Whatís the purpose of the gap between the crown and the case on the Tudor Ranger heritage? I really want to pull the trigger one one, but that gap bothers me in pictures. I imagine itíll drive me nuts in person.

If thereís a reason for it, I might be able to look past it. So, is there a practical reason? Or is it simply a poor design?

    Internet picture for reference.

I'd say it's just design, not poor, not great, just design, something to make it more distinctive. I don't mind it myself. It's a nice watch and relatively affordable on the gray and pre-owned markets.

Crickets because itís a bit weird to create a whole new thread to point out that you donít like the design of this watch.

I guess thatís the answer. I was just wondering if it served a purpose beyond that. Thanks.

    Tudor Ranger heritage crown

Was just explaining why after five hours nobody responded. When somebody finally did, it was confirming the obvious answer.

We do love talking about watches on this forum. So if youíre not getting responses, it could be the subject matter.

Genuine question though: now that someone confirmed that it is a design element, is it going to prevent you from purchasing it?

I assume that it is to make it easier for you to unscrew the crown, since it is farther away from the dial itself.

In real life, it looks pretty cool.

    What gap?

JK, but it does make it easy to set when on a Bund.
