I thought would share an interesting and happy ending story with you all.
Two years ago I had a white Victorinox Night Vision that I decided to sell to fund other purchases and slim down my collection.
I listed the watch on the bay and sold it to a gentleman in another country.
Sale and everything went smooth until after about 6 weeks the buyer advised he did not receive the watch and he wanted refund.
I advised him I would look into it at post office and get back to him.
When I contacted the post office they advised me that in error I purchased shipping without a tracking number. Obviously I was upset as shipping costs were $50 and no tracking option was included. Needless to say I was upset.
I begrudgingly refunded the money and to no fault of the buyer. I just assumed someone along the wag saw there was no tracking and the watch was swiped. Lesson learned and the loss of the watch and money always stung.
Note that this was in early 2014.
Today I went to pick up the mail and was greeted with a parcel key. I am expecting a watch dial so I assumed this was it.
I opened the parcel box to find a large box in there marked RTS (Return to Sender)
Two and a half years later and it appears
Not keeping time but the EOL flashing so there is still some juice in the time battery.
The flashlight features still work but that battery needs replacement as the lights are dim.
Fittingly in the box is the product card with the motto "Companion for Life"
Though I prefer the black version and I now have the opportunity to sell the watch again, I almost want to keep it because of the story behind it.
I will change the batteries and decide then.
Enjoy your day, and may good fortune find you as well.
