    Ugly watch becomes pretty watch

So I have this watch the wife gave me. When I look at it in my watch box, I don't find it attractive at all. When it comes up in the rotation, I don't feel joy putting it on in the morning. Then, sometime around 10am I will look at it to check the time and the light hits it just right and I think WOW this watch is dead sexy. Anybody have a watch that your opinion of it swings from cold to hot?

NO, the ones I have retained look great (to me, at least) from any angle, any time of day.

Nice. I actually like that TAG quite a bit.
Anyway, I see what you mean. Different shades of light can absolutely transform and amplify certain watches and dials.
I would never say "ugly" by any means, but I do enjoy my sbgv205's Champagne dial more at times in certain shades of light as opposed to others. I generally don't like Champagne dials, but this one shifts between colors so fluidly like liquid metal.

I have always understood this dial to be their most labor intensive dial (12 step process) and it certainly shows in the right light (or any light really)

I think that Grand Seiko as shown already is the best example of this in action. The ones I have had were meh in 90% of lighting conditions, and then BAM when the sun came in from an angle on them.

When I have an ugly watch, I sell it. The wad of cash in my hand makes me remember it as a beautiful watch.
I try not to think about any baths I took.

I have one of those. Ive been debating on getting rid of it for months now. I feel like I got a great deal on it, so it’s tough to sell, but the hot-cold has me knowing it’s got to go. It’s ugly one day, then I wear it and think the opposite. Kinda driving me crazy. I think your tag is a great looking watch btw!

I remember hating the idea of a crown placed at 4... now itís one of my favorite features of my skx... (every once in a while Iíll try to imagine it at 3, though)
