    Ultimate favorite watch

I can wear one my watches for a day or two and think to myself “this is my favorite watch-nothing else in the collection compares.” Then I’ll wear another watch for a couple days and think to myself “this is my favorite watch-nothing else in the collection compares.” Just me?

Nope, not just you. I have 8 watches, but I tend to rotate only 3 of them - and I enjoy all of them equally. The other 5 sit in a drawer, so that's an indicator that I need to sell these to somebody else to enjoy.

Not just you. I consider it a good thing, though. For me, it’s an indication that my watches don’t overlap too much—that they each have a niche where they rule supreme. I feel like I have kept the right things in my collection when each one of them can be a favorite and can be worn with some frequency.

I was that way for a long time. Now I could wear a Sinn EZM 1 every day for the rest of my life and I'd be just fine. I've owned 5 over the past 20 years and currently have 2 in my small collection.

I was like that, and then I found one I really liked, and that one I could, like CMSgt Bo, wear it for the rest of my life with no reservations.

I make a big thing about changing my watch every day according to the dictates if the rota. Some watches I can change easily but with others it’s a real wrench - one of the hardest is the MR-G. So, no, it’s not just you.

And thank you for your service as well! It's nice to have another wing-nut around here.

    Re: Ultimate favorite watch

My ultimate favorite watch is the one I am wearing at that time.
