    Union Glashutte anyone?

Does anyone own a union glashutte watch and would you recommend the company. I saw one of there a seris collection automatics and just think they are beautiful. Is it a big deal to ship from Europe to USA ? Chrono is the only place I can find them. I'll post a picture of this watch. Thanks for your help

You may want to post in the German Watches subforum (if mod's don't move this there). I've seen a few threads about the brand.

With their status change some years bank, I no longer "look for the union label".

The change from basic in-house GO movements to ETA. For more info just check the GWF.

I have seen a few sellers mostly in Germany which is where they seem to sell most. As far as I know they are now part of the Swatch group and highly modify ETA movements to Glashutte requirements. I had considered one of their watches in the past but they seem to be at that price point and design that puts them similar to Longines so much so that I ended up opting for the Longines. Also with the movement change it just doesn't look the same when you compare some of the highly decorated older movements they used.
