    US Marshal's auctions

Seized items for auction, including watches. Don't really know about this but it might be worth it to research.
If the thread is redundant I apologize.

One example. Rolex 18k w/diamonds. Current bid $10,350.

I used to work in a federal correctional facility that housed mostly US Marshals detainees. It was helpful to have a couple of innocuous topics to make small talk with them about. Most of my co-workers talked sports, but i liked talking about watches and cars. Those guys all loved having diamonds on their watches.

Indeed, this auction has mostly Rolex with diamonds. I see expensive cars, gold chains too.
Opening bid on this Breitling is $17,500. omg.

    Re: US Marshal's auctions

If I were a corrupt cop, I would keep track of the drug dealer cars since they likely had some residue in the car, tell the auction house to not clean it well, sell it, keep track of who has the VIN and the new plates, pull that person over for suspicion of drugs and bring the sniffer dogs in . . .

Some of those cars and watches are going for quite a bit more than I would assume they would on the used market.

Here's a link for US government surplus. I see a 55# group of watches is up to $650. Auction ends tomorrow. No idea what the watches are.
