    Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chrono

I was wondering what other people think about this watch. I personally think its the pinnacle of sports watches, far surpassing the Rolex Daytona. The bracelet alone is a work of art and the watch is built like a tank. The workmanship on this watch is unlike any sports watch that I have seen. I wonder if other share my opinion on this watch? Naturally my opinions are biased so I would like to hear what others think. Anyone prefer the older version of this watch compare to the new? The black over the white?
I owned the older style several years back and like a moron I sold it and bought a Rolex Submariner. I always regretted that decision and recently purchased the new version for Christmas. I went yet again with the white faced chrono, but with this kind of purchase I constantly second guess myself! Should I have bought the black, the Dual Time, etc etc.
    OPINIONS PLEASE!

I didn't know the Daytona was the supposed pinnacle of sports watches. That VC's dial and case are very nice (as they should be, for twice the price of a Daytona!), but the bracelet looks like something from cK or similar - what were they thinking? And more importantly, can you put a strap on it?

Frankly I don't care for the Daytona but I believe I am in the minority. In fact now that I think of it I should have posted "Whats The Finest Sports Watch?" and it would have been much more interesting to see the opinions.
Naturally everyone has different tastes but for myself the VC Overseas is and has been the only watch that I never get tired of. I can't say that for any of my Rolex, Omegas, etc. I can assure you of one thing, I will never sell this VC like I did the last one!

I remember when the Overseas first came out, waiting time, 18 months.

I remember when I saw my first VC Overseas, went to the diamond district in Manhattan in order to find something "Special" and found the VC in the window of one of the stores. This was roughly 7 years ago and at the time I thought Rolex was the only fine watch on the market. When I put on that watch I was simply amazed at the quality of workmanship. From that day forward I had "The Sickness".
I also realized that fine watches are alot like pornography, I know it when I see it!

It's a shock to many people when they find out there's a universe of
    watches far beyond Rolex.
