    valjoux on a winder

ran a dm with a valjoux 7750 counter clockwise on my winder. after 2 days the watch stopped. Rewound the watch and its now working fine by letting it run clockwise. any reason for this?

Valjoux 7750 should be wound clockwise. It does not wind bi-directional or counter clockwwise.

would that be the reason why it doesn't matter on direction for a eta 2824?

    The ETA 26XX, 28XX and 27XX automatics are bi-directional.

    The ETA 7750 series, 2000, 2004, and 2094 are uni-directional, clockwise only.

Good Info. Here is a link to a database from Orbita that has the info for most autos out there.
