Vintage 14k Gold/ss Tudor or vintage 18k Omega Seamaster ?

Trying to decide on 2 watches from similar yr ( early 60's )

1 is a Tudor dress watch, 14k Rose gold case with a ss back, it's all 100% original including dial, except strap has been replaced but has original buckle, it has a recently cleaned 17 Rubies manual winding movement.

2 is a Omega Seamaster 18k Rose gold case, dial is refinished, has original crown, and crystal, the 286 manual winding movement has also been cleaned. New strap, no Omega buckle

The asking price on the Tudor is $150us more then the Omega, wasn't able to get pics as both were on spot offers from same seller. Which do you think is the better buy?

I wouldn't consider any watch with a redial

Really hard to tell without pictures. In general I agree about redials, but some are indistinguishable from the original.

I really like Omega, but I think the Tudor may be a little less common/harder to find. With the little information you've given, I'd pick the Tudor in this case.

A lot of variables here, but I think right now Tudor prices on a pretty strong upswing so- if it's priced fairly - you may actually see some appreciation. A good redial is not a problem for me for a wearer but many people shy away from them when you try and sell it. I'm leaning Tudor at this point.

Don't like redials either. Getting a solid gold watch with a steel back is really unusual afaik.
