vintage 70's omega seamaster, good idea?

So I have been going back and forth on buying a gift watch for my brother this year and I keep thinking I found the right one and then totally reconsider... Well this time I think I have found one that he would really like. He has lived in europe for years and just moved back, along with him came his tight pants european drab color style and I feel like a vintage omega seamster would suite him perfectly. My issue is I have never bought vintage and am trying to get something that will be like new with no issues or headaches. This is what I found.

The seller is on ebay with excellent feedback and claims

"This item was expertly repolished, reconditioned, serviced and made to look its best. We are sure you will be happy with this lovely timepiece."

the watch sure looks great, and everything is claimed to be original. so what do you all think? good idea or headache?

I think I know the seller you're referring to (Beverly Hills, L.A.),

I've worked with them before, they're good people, they stand by their word and will help you out if there's any issues with the watch.

I think if he's into watches and can appreciate a vintage Omega you are doing the right thing. If he couldn't care less well buy it for yourself and get him a Seiko 5. Cool Omega.

this place says they are from LA name vividlily. I'm pretty i'm going to do this soon, I just hope they'll play ball with offers because their prices are quite high.

he admires watches but has never spent money on them. his only other watch was a gift from me as well, but I would like to get him something a bit more serious and I think he really appreciates vintage style and history. I looked and looked and was going to get him just a token tag aquaracer or something affordable with a bit of brand recognition but when I saw these vintage seamasters they just seem so much more like him, don't have to force it.
