I picked up a vintage exactus...in absolute mint condition on the bay. I'm trying to find out a few things and need some collective help. Pictures will be uploaded.
1. At a minimum.. what decade was it made? I'm guessing 60's. It appears to have an ETA 2472 in amazing condition. Keeps great time and power reserve is fully functional.
2. Given the movement used and the excellent condition of the watch. Atleast a few hundred. What do you think?
I understand it could have been re-conditioned prior to me receiving it. If so it was done by a very good professional. I couldn't imagine the direction of the brushed portion meeting with the polished portion could even be attempted by an amateur. I do have reasons to believe it was in a box for 45 years and never worn, taken out, serviced and sold. Because it's in almost too good of condition to have been refinished.
I found an old exactus catalog ad with a picture of the watch, so I know it was at one time an offered model.
Any thoughts? Thank you gentlemen for your time
