    Vintage Piaget Watch Authenticity

ebay pulled this item for sale due to VERO, the company saying it was fake. If we need more photos please let me know.

It is an older vintage watch in not the best condition but looked real to me. Can someone help ID it. Thanks so much for the help! I need to reach out to the manufacture to remove the VERO claim if we can confirm it is just very old and real

    Re: Vintage Piaget Watch Authenticity

Now I am not particularly familiar with Piaget watches but I can see why they thought it fake. Piaget is a quality brand, I would expect this to be higher quality. Typically they use gold rather than plating so we would expect a gold case back rather than steel. The fact that there is gold plating on the sides of the steel back as if somebody has applied gold plate to the watch once it was assembled would have me running a mile.

Open the back and show us the Piaget movement, that is the only thing that could reassure.

I'm curious as to why this "looked real" to you?

So many things just scream fake to me...

If you think it is the real thing and worth the money: Documents can be had by contacting Piaget and asking for extracts of the archives. The only thing you have to deliver are movement- and case numbers. And of course such an extract does cost some $$$. However, this would make selling the watch much more easier.
Show us better pics (high res) of top, back and movement.
    Kind regards
