    You can go with
Timex with indiglo (e.g. expedition models). Indiglo basically illuminates the watchnface when you press the crown. Downsides are: not very waterproof and quartz powered.
Any flieger with arabic numerals. Downside is the lume might not be as bright as you need it.
Most viable.. G shocks with illumination feature

Seiko divers have loads of Lumibrite on them, that glows hard for a long time.

Or look at watches with fluorescing tubes on the hands and markers, such as the Ball watches, and some military style makers, such as Traser.

These will not glow bright, but will glow 24/7 without any daylight exposure.

    Re: Visibility

I have a Luminox watch. Their watches have tritium inserts.
The one I have is 12 years old and still glows good at night.
I have no problems reading it in the dark.

    Re: Visibility

I would go with the already mentioned Ball, Traser, Luminox in that order.

    Re: Visibility

Come on folks--only the "truck" got it right--the best lume, equally legible at hour 3, 10 or 100 in total darkness will be a watch with tritium tubes. Luminox, Tracer and others all have tritium but my favorite is Ball--here is my 13 year Ball Fireman, with a night lume shot, taken just a couple of nights ago. Has the same glow at any hour of the night--no superluminova-lumed watches can compete after the first few hours, as other time-based lume comparison threads have shown here in the past.

Yup! Tritium lasts all night long .. actually it never stops glowing. There are quite a few options out there now. Even my LL Bean Field watch had it.

    Re: Visibility

I find my SuperLuminova dive watches are bright enough to be legible even after 7 hours without needing to put on my eyeglasses. And my uncorrected eyesight is very poor; around 20/400 (my prescription is roughly +7.25). Either a quartz watch with a backlight or something with tritium tubes will be the best option, though.

    Re: Visibility

A luminous dial doesn’t do it for me. Can‘t read the time without glasses. So I rely on a Braun LED alarm clock.
    Kind regards
