Waiting for watch - have read every post about it on the internet

It's been over 1 1/2 years since I bought my last watch. I started my search for an additional watch 10 months ago. Several weeks ago I finally landed on one with major potential. The more I read and saw, the more it sang to me unlike any other during this lengthy quest. Two days ago I ordered it but I likely won't receive it until the middle of next week. For the past 48 hours I have travelled to the ends of the (internet) universe locating every last scrap of commentary on this watch to reinforce I've made the right call (including translating European and Asian posts). Now I'm starting to read the same posts 2 and 3 times. What the heck am I to do for the next 120 hours?

    Am I the first?

Not to worry Tseg I do the same, OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Not that I'm ever in doubt about a purchase but it's just nice to gather as much info as possible. Also it's surprising how much you (I) learn along the way as well, movements, manufacturing processes, history, in fact a whole gamut of information that I wouldn't otherwise have known about, and NOT always about that particular watch purchase.

the reading didn't stop even after the watch arrived.

I do this with watches, kitchen knives, photography equipment even cars...
Sometimes I wonder if it isn't the review of literature...the journey to new understanding itself, that is the true draw behind choosing a different toy.

I bought a Resco watch after much reading. Now I have 4 and I continue to thurst for information to keep that passion fresh.
I spend time reading about their tribute watches...those who are subject to Resco recognition (Max Manus, Draper Kauffman, Brandon Webb) are extraordinary men.
The stories of their heroic actions make the watches that much more meaningful to own.

    Enjoy your next!
