Very cool, I got my wife a 1920s art deco Waltham for her b day this year. Can't wait to see what they have to offer.

I'll be looking forward to the reintroduced Waltham Vanguard 23 jewel with up down indicator in a carved 14k case.

Swiss made... just got bought out like Hamilton and only using the name and maybe a few vague styling notes. Some ressurection.

I'm happy to see a great brand return, but at the same time it kills me to see the premier American watch company of the past turned into a Swiss company.

That kinda takes away from it that its not even an American company anymore. If its just the name I'm less interested since the new company will be a new company. There will be no history to go along with it.

    That is stunning.

I hope this resurrected company at least does justice to the quality and passion that went into those watches. I feel modern Hamilton does that with respect to the older company, and I hope whoever has bought the Waltham name follows in their lead. Best of a bad situation, I suppose.

Waltham International SA has been around since 1957 and has the rights to sell Walthams outside the USA and Canada. Looks like they now also have the right to sell Walthams over $1000 in the USA and Canada. The cheap Walthams along with Elgin and Gruen are brands of schlock-meister M Z Berger.
I'll stick with the real thing as well.
